Here, Ryan was performing using a simple electrical model of a neuron, with various chemical solutions emiting voltages which were then amplified. Luke is playing a home made turntable and...

A lot of people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch of unconnected incidents and things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice of coincidence that lays on top of everything. Give you an example, show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate of shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, "plate," or "shrimp," or "plate of shrimp" out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of...

Graham Dunning is an artist and experimental musician based in London, UK. For Topaz , Dunning used cassettes from his archive of found footage, live sampling from a single walkman into three cheap delay units to create this rhythmical college. The recording was made live in one take as an experiment into these techniques as a format for live performance. For more information visit www.grahamdunning.com .

Show starts with a collage and looping of tracks by Universos Virtuales (fantastic!) and generally moves into drone territory and layering of samples taken from the Librivox recording of H.G. Wells' " The Island of Dr. Moreau ". The samples were woven into the mix via a script that selected then at random then delayed the selection and playing of the next sample by a random interval. It worked well but you can hear a sample colliding with the voice over / podcast id. Oh well, this is...

This is a selection from the recent releases from Electronc Musik. It does contain a new (March 2011) exclusive track from Noise Research. It's a radical reworking of the track '4th from the Left' which has now become 'Third from the Left'. The music was chosen by selecting the thrid track from each respective release, hence all can be classed as 'track 3'. The sampler is a great example of the wonderful roster of artists on this label. My thanks to all of them All the tracks come from free...
